Weekend happenings

It's not too late to grab tickets to shows in the area this weekend—PHS is doing "The Little Mermaid," and Argos High School is demonstrating "A Blast from the Past" with hit songs from the 1950s to 1980s.
"The Little Mermaid" shows at 6:30 p.m. Friday, 2 and 6:30 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $3 for children 12 and younger, and $4 for all others.
"A Blast from the Past" shows at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and tickets are $5 for all.

Special Events
The Battle of Tippecanoe 200th Anniversary Commemoration is also this weekend, if you are interested in learning more about what part local events played in U.S history. This is a great outing for kids, too. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 4 to 16. Interested in model railroads? There will be a swap meet sponsored by the Fulton County Model Railroad Club at the Fulton County Fairgrounds in Rochester from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $3 per person; $5 per family; children under 12 free. Also, the Historic Bremen Depot will be open to the public from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. There is no fee to visit but donations are welcome.

Heartland Artists Gallery in Plymouth is holding a drop in and draw class from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Taught by Kerri Bash, the class costs $5. Call 574-936-1123 to register for the class.

Plymouth Wesleyan Church is having Harvest Sunday, open to the public. Their two morning services are 9 and 10:30 a.m. Chili, bratwursts and hot dogs will be served for lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m. Then enjoy activities for the family, including a hay maze, hayrides, pony rides and inflatable games until 2 p.m. There also will be an apple pie bake off. Entries will be accepted from 9 a.m. until noon, with judging at 12:30 p.m. Call the church with any questions, 574-936-3637.
