Weekend events in Marshall County

This week is Father’s Day weekend at the Farmers Market. Entertainment by MC Church Orchestra begins at 9 a.m. Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center will have free health screenings from at 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. There will be strawberry shortcake tasting free at the information booth. The Farmers Market is held from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in River Park Square at Garro and River Streets east of Michigan.

• Elks Lodge, Plymouth is serving dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. — AUCE fish and new menu items of hamburger steak and grilled chicken breast — Different special each week; for further information, please call 574-936-3424.
• Plymouth Moose is hosting a buffet dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Menu is pork chops, cranberry chicken breast, and fish. Music by Melvin Mullins.
• The Friends of the Culver-Union Township Public Library are having a book sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Culver library. Book donations are welcome at the circulation desk during library hours.
• Miller’s Merry Manor-St. Pat’s, Walkerton blood drive will be from 12 to 6 p.m. at 500 Walkerton Trail, Walkerton. • Plymouth VFW Post 1162 is hosting a National Guard FRG spaghetti dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Cost is $8 adults; $5, ages under 12; ages 3 and under free. Tickets available at the VFW or call 574-936-2245.
• Bourbon Township 4-H clubs will be holding a donation car wash/bake sale fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Berkey Enterprises (between the bank parking lot and Bourbon Mini-Mart).

• Relay for Life of Elkhart County starts at 10 a.m. at Concord High School.
• Paint in the Park and learn how to do Plein Air Painting. The cost is $15. Bring your own supplies or order from the gallery. This class is for intermediate and advances students, ages 14 and older. The time will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and participants should bring a packed lunch. The teacher is Kerri Bash.
