• City of Plymouth board of public works and safety will meet at 6 p.m. in council chambers, 124 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. The common council will meet at 6:30 p.m. or immediately following the board of public works and safety meeting.

TUESDAY, AUG. 25

• A free Healthy Soils Workshop will be held at Potawatomi Wildlife Park in Tippecanoe, starting at 1:30 p.m. Featured speaker is Dave Brandt, farmer and cover crop advocate. • Bremen Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. at The Pines. Come meet and greet guest of the month, Mike Tatich.

• Delta Theta Tau Alumnae Chapter will meet at 6 p.m. at Miller's Assisted Living, Plymouth. The meal is $10. All members are welcome.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 26

• Culver-Union Township Public Library is holding an adult coloring session at 5 p.m. The library is providing the coloring sheets and colors, but feel free to bring your own. • The Center Thrift shop will be having a $2 bag sale from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The Center provides good quality, inexpensive clothing to the community. Profits received go to local programs and other mission projects. Donations and volunteers are always needed. The Center is located at the First United Church of Christ on the corner of Sherman and Center Street in Bremen.
• Argos American Legion Post 68 will be serving its Wednesday night special from 5-7 p.m. Appetizers are available. Also on the menu is fish or chicken strips basket, homemade grilled or breaded tenderloin sandwich, breaded or grilled chicken breast sandwich, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and fish sandwich, all served with fries or potato wedges. • Marshall County Sheriff's Department First Sergeant Neal Wallace, and community members will come together at The Coffee Lodge to discuss community issues, build relationships and drink coffee during Coffee with a Cop. All community members are invited to attend. The event begins at 8:15 a.m. at The Coffee Lodge, 225 E. Jefferson St., Plymouth. John Chamberlin's Edward Jones office is sponsoring the event.

• There will be a Nelson’s Port-A-Pit fundraiser for a Guatemala mission trip, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. or until sold out at the Centier Bank parking lot, 537 N. Oak Drive, Plymouth. Cost is chicken, $6.75; pork chop, $6.75; and Pit-Tatoes, $3.75. Credit and debit cards now accepted.

• Join the Plymouth Republican Committee and special guest, Congresswoman Jackie Walorski, for a Family Picnic Day in the Park from 4-7 p.m., at Price's Memorial Pond, 205 Plymouth-Goshen Trail. The menu includes pulled pork, beef brisket, baked beans, cole slaw, and dessert. Tickets are $15 and children 12 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance from any member of the Plymouth Republican Committee.
• The Friends of the Culver-Union Township Public Library will have a book sale from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Carnegie Room, in the lower level of the library.
