WEATHER ALERT: High wind advisory

March 2, 2012

The NWS has issued a wind advisory for Marshall County. Sustained winds of 30mph with gusts to 55mph are expected. Strong winds will make driving difficult, especially for semi trucks and other high profile vehicles. Tree branches and power lines may be downed in isolated spots. Scattered power outages and downed tree limbs are possible. Loose outdoor items may be blown around. The Marshall County Sheriff's Office encourages everyone to drive carefully, watching for downed power lines and avoid downed limbs and power lines. Avoid touching downed limbs as they may hide power lines. Do not approach a vehicle with a power line on it. If a downed power line is found, please contact the Marshall County 9-1-1 Center immediately and keep your distance.
