Waterline insurance not related to any city programs

May 11, 2011

May 2, Nappanee Water Superintendent/Manager Gale Gerber issued a warning to local residents regarding offers for alleged insurance  for waterlines.
Area residents have reported being contacted by an unknown source trying to sell insurance for city waterlines coming into individual homes. Those reporting wanted to make the city of Nappanee aware of the solicitiation in case it was not affiliated with the city itself, or city programs.
“We’re not recommending anything — nor is this in any way a part of the city,” said Gerber. “In this case I would say ‘Buyer Beware.’ If you have any questions about it, please call the Better Business Bureau.”
