ROCHESTER — Virginia Louise Quick, 89, Rochester, passed away at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday March 27, 2012 at Wynnfield Crossing, Rochester.
She was born Sept. 19, 1922 in Rochester, the daughter of Ed and Thelma (Downey) Delp. Sept. 22, 1940 in Rochester, she married Joseph Kennedy Quick. He preceded her in death Dec. 9, 2011.
Mrs. Quick had been a homemaker and along with her husband had owned Quick Lanes, Rochester. She had attended the Grace United Methodist Church, had been a member of DAR, Tri-Kappa, Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, Bridge Club and the Yacht Club at Lake Manitou. After retiring, she and her husband enjoyed spending winters at their home in Sebring, Fla. In her spare time she enjoyed golf, bridge, bowling and gardening.
Survivors include her sons, Tim and wife Jenny Quick, Plymouth, Mike and wife Terry Quick, The Villages, Fla., Pat Quick and friend, Bobbi Mollohan, Lima, Ohio, five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Patrick Quick, and brother, Robert Delp.
Graveside services will be conducted at Noon Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, with the Rev. Maurice Grindle officiating. Friends may call from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice of Fulton County or Tri-Kappa.
