CULVER — June Shepard, 85, of Culver, passed away March 6, 2011 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Culver.
June was born in Medaryville, Ind. June 7, 1925 to parents Harry Byers and Mabel (Anderson) Byers, who preceded her in death. 
June retired from Culver Academies, where she worked in the Food Service Department. She was a member of the Culver VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Wesley United Methodist Church.
She is survived by children: Linda Wheatman, Roy Shepard and David Shepard (wife Carol), all of Chesterton, Ind.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Shepard; son, Ronald Wayne Shepard; daughter, Tina Marie Shepard; sister, Luella Mae Alkire; and brother, Damon Eugene Byers.
Visitation will be held Friday March 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. EST at the Odom Funeral Home in Culver.
Funeral services for June Shepard will be at the Wesley United Methodist Church Saturday, March 12, at 10 a.m. EST. Pastor Larry Saunders will officiate.
Burial will follow at Independence Cemetery, Medaryville, Ind.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall County Humane Society.
