Pilot photo/Carol Anders The Plymouth Fire & Rescue truck was on site to help remove the family in this home off of East Jefferson Street on Polk Street, but friends in a pickup truck had already taken the family to drier land. The Yellow River was expected to crest this morning at 15 feet, just under last January’s flood which crested at 15.12 feet.
While other streets near the river continue to remain flooded as well, the Boys & Girls Club on East Jefferson Street has experienced enough flooding for NIPSCO to shut off gas and electric to the facility for safety. The club has moved to Washington Elementary School. Plymouth Schools will bus club members to Washington.
