Marshall & Starke Counties — The Indiana State Police Clandestine Investigation Team worked a joint investigation with the Plymouth Police Department, which uncovered a meth lab located in Starke County near the Marshall County Line. The Plymouth Police Department had conducted an investigation into illegal purchases of pseudoephedrine in the area. The investigation led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Aaron Davis, 41, of Grovertown.
The Indiana State Police served the arrest warrant for Davis at his residence, 11110 East 400 North, in Starke County. When officers made contact with Davis, they noticed a strong chemical odor coming from his home. During the investigation, an active meth lab was located inside the residence, along with a firearm. A male subject fled the scene during the investigation, however he was later identified and charges will be filed with the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office. Davis was placed into custody at his residence and taken to the Starke County Jail. He was booked on charges of manufacturing methamphetamines, possession of methamphetamines, maintaining a common nuisance, and illegal drug lab activity. Davis will face the Marshall County charges stemming from the arrest warrant for the illegal purchase of pseudoephedrine, after he is processed in Starke County.
