BOURBON — A fire that broke out Wednesday  morning in an outbuilding at 10526 Fir Rd., Bourbon, fully destroyed the items inside — including some of the owners’ pets.
Four cats and one Cairn Terrier perished in the blaze that neither firefighters nor the homeowners, Chet and Jane Hall, knew how it started.

“My husband was in his office in the basement and I was at work,” said Jane, who is the director of the Argos Public Library. ”He came up, saw the smoke and called it in.”
That call came in about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and Bourbon and Center Town-ship firefighters and Multi-Township EMS quickly arrived at the scene.
