PLYMOUTH — You might want to start buying up the work of young artist Kathryn Harville before it gets too expensive.
You can start by picking up a re-usable grocery bag and Martin’s Super Markets this spring. Harville, a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Marshall County,  was named the winner in a contest to choose artwork that will be displayed on the company’s new bags due out around Earth Day.
Harville, who also won this year’s art prize for Rebuilding Together, doesn’t really question where her inspiration comes from.
“I don’t know,” she said. “I just thought about the picture and started drawing it. Ever since I could draw, I’ve loved to draw.”
Her drawing was chosen from 21 local entries. The Boys & Girls Club enlisted the help of Heartland Art-ists to choose the winner. Part of the proceeds from all bags sold at Martin’s will go to the local club.
The prize for her skills is a new Dell laptop computer, which Harville says she’ll use for another favorite pastime.
“I love computer games,” she said.
