The Bourbon Lions  Club, in collaboration with the town of Bourbon, put on another successful Halloween party at the Bourbon Community Park building Oct. 31 with ghouls and fairies sharing the floor during game time and the stage during costume contest judging. More than 200 people were in attendance and took part in the games, food and festivities. Bourbon Lions members Bette McDaniel, Linda Bell and Cliff Leiter had the difficult job of judging the 16 costume categories as well as the jack-o'-lantern contests.

Greg and Kandi Craft, as they do every year, deejayed the event with popular and holiday theme songs and made sure to include the Monster Mash. Some of the more interesting costumes, coon hunters, a carton of milk and an Oreo cookie, Alvin and the Chipmunks, a skunk, a shark, a toucan and the lovable troop from the Wizard of Oz were just a few of the more creative costumes displayed with various types of witches, monsters, princesses and rock stars.
