 Pilot Photos/Maggie Nixon The ingenuity of Jefferson Elementary School students was evident as they hosted a “pumpkin drop” from the top of the Plymouth Fire Department’s bucket truck Wednesday.
 Colin Hardins happily shows his smashed pumpkin. Wrapped in foam, bubble wrap, wooden boxes and plastic bags, secured with string, tape and more, the students tried to protect their pumpkins from the fall. Above, teacher Jennifer George helps Jeremy Drudge unwrap his damaged goods.
