Classes from Culver’s Wesley United Methodist Preschool journeyed to Yellow River Farms on S.R. 8 to pick pumpkins and enjoy the autumn activities including frolicking in a “hay maze” and playing in a sandbox full of corn kernels. Assisted by Wesley teachers and assistants Jill Gavlick, Jennifer Lutrell and Esmerelda Rogers and a number of parent chaperones, the children had a hay ride to the farm’s pumpkin patch, with each child choosing a pumpkin to take home. Here, Kathleen Perkins has picked her perfect pumpkin. For more photos, see the Weekend edition of the Pilot News.
