1 arrested after BB gun damage E-mail
Wednesday, 24 September 2008
PLYMOUTH — Saturday night the Plymouth Police Department and Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received numerous reports of damage being done to parked vehicles in and around Plymouth.
Detective Leo Mangus with the Plymouth Police Department said it was determined that the damage was the result from gunshots from a BB gun.
City Police were given a description of the suspected vehicle.  Officer Gary Cleveland located a vehicle similar to the one described and stopped the vehicle in Plymouth around 9:45 p.m. A BB gun was located inside the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle, 19-year-old Brandon S. Borem of Lawrence Lake Drive, Plymouth, was questioned and subsequently arrested for criminal mischief as a class D Felony.  He was booked into the Marshall County Jail.
Detective Mangus estimated 30 to 35 vehicles damaged in the incident with damages exceeding $2,500.
He said that Borem was allegedly aiming for the windows in the various vehicles damaged.
