Pilot Photo/John K. Reed Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter signs a flag carried by the “Bamboo Walker” Armand Young. Senter also presented the traveler with a key to the city of Plymouth. Young is currently traveling from California to New York, gathering signatures of those who promise to pass on random acts of kindness to others.
Currently, during his short stay here in Marshall County, Young has located a woman and her children — ages 5, 7 and 9 — who are in need of a place to live as of Oct. 1. The family, who moved back to Indiana recently from Florida, is currently staying at the Jellystone Campground, but must be out by the time the facilities close for the season. Anyone wishing to assist Young can contact him on his cell phone at 641-351-1082 or John Reed, who is documenting Young’s trip here, at 574-952-7333.
