PLYMOUTH — Generous sponsors, loyal volunteers and pleasant weather came together to make the car show held Saturday in Centennial Park to benefit the “Shop With a Cop” program  a huge success.
The show was organized by the Plymouth F.O.P. Lodge #195.

According to Bill Andrews who chaired the project, approximately 130 car owners entered the show and competition. Owners brought their custom cars from as far as Chicago, Merriville, Portage and several towns in Michigan. The annual event features drive-through judging in various categories.
Andrews said, “One hundred percent of the proceeds go to the “Shop With a Cop” fund.”
The top 50 cars were awarded “Best of Show” plaques. A memorial trophy in honor or Don “Speedy” Feece was also presented.
Those helping to sponsor the event included: American Legion Post 27-Plymouth; F.O.E.-B.P.O.E # 2548; Plymouth Kilwinning Lodge 149 F. & A.M.; Plymouth V.F.W. Post 1162; Moose Lodge # 741; WTCA-Am 1050; Plymouth F.O.P. Lodge 195; Carnegie Towing; and Tower Erector Co., Inc.
Added fundraisers during the event included breakfast and lunch offerings by Fred and Nicole Kaylor. They served biscuits and gravy until 10:30 a.m. and then began serving tenderloin sandwiches. Andrews said, “They served 150 tenderloin sandwiches before they finally ran out.” The Kaylor’s also donated 100 percent of the proceeds to the “Shop With a Cop” program.
For the third year in a row, The Culver Young Farmers served ice cream. Ryan Sieber, club treasurer, said the organization is made up of friends and neighbors who want to give back to the community.
Andrews expressed his appreciation for all of the volunteers that helped before and during the event and to the community for the ongoing support.
