Monaco to offer employment assistance E-mail
Thursday, 28 August 2008
COBURG, Ore. — Monaco Coach Corporation has announced a comprehensive package of re-employment services it is offering its employees. Monaco Coach Corporation also announced that its Custom Chassis Products joint venture will continue production of several types of chassis at its Elkhart facility.
The Company has announced the dates of upcoming job fairs scheduled later this week Aug 27 in Wakarusa and Aug. 28 in Elkhart. Monaco opened an employment resource center in Wakarusa Aug. 4 for employees to use through Sept. 12. Collaborating with a local employment training firm, the company is holding workshops on topics like basic interviewing skills, developing resumes and job search training.
"We are very pleased to offer numerous types of classes for our employees to improve their job skills and job search skills while helping them find new employment," Kay Toolson, Chairperson and CEO, said. "Helping all of our employees find new employers is our main priority and focus in northern Indiana."
There will be several local and regional employers seeking applicants in attendance at the job fairs.
"Our hope is that the vast majority of our employees will be able to find employment through the contacts that they make at one of our job fairs or through the ongoing support that we will be providing at our job and resource centers," Toolson said.
Any interested employers wishing to attend the job fairs should contact Christie Alley, Employee Relations Manager, at 862-7376.
In addition, Custom Chassis Products, LLC, a joint venture between Navistar, Inc. and Monaco Coach Corporation, has announced that due to ongoing business opportunities, it will maintain production at the Elkhart facility.
