PLYMOUTH — Trying to do a good deed led one man to being attacked and one man in jail. Another woman found her car had been stolen. At approximately 2:27 a.m. Tuesday, Marshall County police received a call from Jesse Shidler, saying that he was driving north on Redwood Road south of Lincoln Highway when he saw a subject with a vehicle parked in the road.
Shidler said he stopped and rolled down his window to ask the man if he was OK. Shidler said the man came over to his vehicle and punched him in the face. Shidler then called police from down the road. When units of Marshall County police arrived, they located a pick-up truck in the middle of Redwood Road with the glass broken out and a pair of bolt cutters lying in the road. A vehicle pursuit ensued from the area of 9th Road and Union and ended when the suspect went off the road at S.R. 17 and Quince Road. The suspect then bailed out of the car and attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by officers. When arrested, the subject had in his possession suspected marijuana and methamphetamine.
