By Carol Anders Staff Writer
PLYMOUTH — Barricades blocking off access to the shopping center on North Michigan Street from the Taco Bell parking lot will stay up — at least for now.
Wednesday, Taco Bell Manager Marsha Humphrey placed the barriers between Taco Bell property and the adjoining property and parked her truck in front of them.
Humphrey said, “I have contacted the city numerous times asking for a stop sign.”
There used to be a stop sign at the corner, but reportedly a truck knocked it down several months ago and it was never replaced.

Sunday, Erica Partin, — along with the help of her family — broke ground on the construction site of her new home.  Partin was chosen — after a lengthy process — to be the person to purchase Habitat For Humanity's 10th home in the area.

Volunteers come together to build Habitat’s homes.
Habitat holds the mortage on the home and the buyer makes monthly mortgage payments, interest free.
In return for the interest free mortgage, the purchaser agrees to put in 100 “sweat equity” hours.
Partin helped with the last Habitat home and she also volunteers time at Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore.
Partin and her two sons, Harrison and Austin, will be living in this home upon its completion.
Partin was born and raised in Culver. She moved out of state and has moved back to Argos. She has lived in Argos for three and a half years.
“It’s a great town, wonderful school and wonderful people. We feel very honored to be the next Habitat family. We are excited and looking forward to working with everyone,” she said.
