Patsy L. Kaufman
July 10, 1936 – August 6, 2008
    PLYMOUTH — Patsy “Pat” L. Kaufman, 72, living on N. Michigan Road, Plymouth, for the past 50 years, died of natural causes in her residence at 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2008.
    Born in Plymouth July 10, 1936, Pat was the daughter of Marion R. and Mabel F. Lichenberger Booker.
    She graduated from Culver High School with the class of 1954, and from the South Bend School of Cosmetology.
    On August 28, 1954, Pat and Lowell J. Kaufman were married. Lowell died on June 20, 2000.
    A cosmetologist, Pat was self-employed in her home for 45 years. She named her shop; Pat’s Beauty Nook and had many loyal clients through the years.
    She was devoted to her family and her grandchildren. She enjoyed golf, gardening, caring for her Koi fish pond and her faithful Blue Point Doberman - Keesha.
    Pat, a member of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church was active with the Altar and Rosary society and was a Eucharistic minister.
    She was also a longtime member of Delta Theta Tau sorority.
    Pat is survived by a daughter, Lori D. (Dr. John M., Jr.) Bottorff, Crawfordsville, and three grandchildren: John K., Bryant M., and Angela M. Bottorff, all of West Lafayette.
    Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse and the recent loss of her daughter, Peggy L. Kaufman on May 28, 2008.
    Friends are invited to share their memories of Pat with her family at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2008. A rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. Calling will continue after 7 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2008, in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 613 N. Center St., Plymouth. The Rev. Father William Kummer will officiate.
    Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
    Memorial gifts in Pat’s name may be made to the Marshall County Community Foundation - St. Michael’s School Tuition Assistance Fund.
