    PLYMOUTH — Encore Performing Arts’ 2008 Music in the Park Series closes with Chantilly Lace Band.  
    Friday, Aug. 15, Encore Performing Arts, Plymouth FOP and Plymouth Park Department will present this renowned band at The Young Amphitheater in Plymouth. Gates open at 6 p.m. and concert begins at 7:30 p.m.  
    Chantilly Lace Band is a classic rock and roll oldies band based in South Bend.  The band is made up of members from Wisconsin, Indiana, and Michigan and includes Jack Pavlekovich, Walt Langheinrich, Dick Bliley, Donny Flowers, Troy McKee and Kerry Shead. They have appeared in concert as a opening act or the backup band to such groups as, Blood Sweat and Tears, Chubby Checker, Peter Noone, Jan and Dean, Rare Earth, Danny and The Juniors, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Kentucky Headhunters, Tommy Roe, The Diamonds, The Crests, Barry Newman, The Crickets, The Lovin Spoonfull, The Association, BJ Thomas, Lou Christie, The Chiffons, Gary Puckett, Bobby Vee, Gary Lewis and The Playboys, The Tokens, Freddy Cannon, The Shirells, and Leslie Gore to name a few.

Young Amphitheater is located in Centennial Park at the corner of Baker and Randolph Streets in Plymouth.  A concession stand, served by Ancilla Cheerleaders offers some refreshments. Some seating and picnic tables are available, but you are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket, a picnic and relax to some great music and enjoy good food with friends.
    Adult admission is $10 at the gate (or $5 in advance). Students are admitted free of charge. Tickets are available online at www.encoreperformingarts.org and they will be held for you at the gate.  In addition, you may purchase tickets at A.S.K. for Flowers, Life Enrichment Center, Pilot News and Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and Plymouth Park Office.
