Precision Painting 9, LaVille Blue 7
Highlights: LaVille Blue’s Codie Highland scored first on a passed ball while Codee Kimbel scored off an RBI from Daniel Rensberger in the first inning. Joey Vest reached base in the second inning by a walk, but was picked off on an attempted steal at second base by Precision Painting’s catcher Tyler Johnson. Precision Painting had a productive third and fourth inning by scoring five runs. Three of those runs were walked in, but Tim Zeiger hit a hard shot down third base line to score Tyler Apa for the RBI in the third inning and Drew Bennitt popped it up to the left fielder Quentin Herbster, but got the sacrifice by hitting in Chase Bice in the fourth inning.
LaVille Blue was not going down without a fight — it scored five runs in the last three innings to pull within two runs of Precision. Anthony Singleton hit a double for two RBI in the fifth inning and Daniel Rensberger had a base hit while also scoring and Conner Emmons scored twice by scoring on an error in the sixth inning and walking home in the seventh inning. With one out and bases loaded in the seventh inning Mitch Andrews caught a line drive at shortstop with the unassisted double play at second base to seal the win for Precision Painting.
LaVille Grey 9, Mike’s Custom Painting 2
Highlights: Chris Stump went six innings striking out 15 and only giving up two hits for the game to get the win for LaVille Grey. He also led the offense going 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double, two RBI and scored three times. Ben Hueni and Brandon Cope had the only hits for Mike’s Custom Painting.
