First H1N1 clinic moves smoothly
Image
Nurse Barb White administers a shot to a brave Jacob Deacon, who didn’t flinch when accepting the H1N1 vaccine at Washington Elementary School Thursday. Pilot photos/Maggie Nixon

By Rusty Nixon Correspondent
PLYMOUTH — For most it is a strange sight to see. Literally hundreds of children, lined up down the block from an elementary school hoping to get a shot.
That was the unlikely scene at Washington School in Plymouth last night as The Marshall County Health Department held its first H1N1 flu shot clinic. In spite of the large numbers that turned out and the trickle of vaccine into the county, the department didn’t have to turn anyone away. Everyone who came received an inoculation.

Dugout 7, ET Products 6
Highlights: Bobby Cornette had a double and Ben Coxey had a single to lead off ET Products. Austin Gardner had an RBI single scoring Cornette. Coxey was the other run scoring for ET Products in the first inning.
The Dugout bats didn’t get started until the second inning. Tyler Rassi started the inning out with a double. Alan Bollenbacher followed up with a single. Wes Borkholder made it to base with a walk, which Alex Overholser, Aaron Moser and Jacob Box all hit Rassi, Bollenbacher and Borkholder in for RBI, which put the Dugout ahead 3-2.
But ET Products wasn’t done. Coxey had a two-run double, while Austin Gardner and Matt Steele both had RBI to put ET Products up 6-3 in the top of the fourth inning.
The Dugout would get the final say as they would control the fifth and sixth innings. In the fifth inning, Jesse Glingle and Brandon Purcell would score off errors which brought them a run from ET Products. The Dugout in the sixth inning tied the game off a passed ball scoring Overholser, and then Glingle hit the game-winning single scoring Moser to put the Dugout up for good.
