Uceny set for 1500 meter prelims |

EUGENE, Ore. — Plymouth native Morgan Uceny will take another crack at joining the 2008 U.S. Olympic Track and Field team.
The Reebok runner, who won her 800 meter semifinal heat Saturday and finished sixth in the 800 meter final Monday, is scheduled to run in the 1500 meter prelims today at 7:30 p.m. at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore.
The top six finishers in each of the three 10-person heats, plus the next six best times, qualify for the semifinals. The 1500 meter semifinal races are Friday at 8:25 p.m., with the final set for Sunday at 4:05 p.m. Uceny’s progress can be tracked at Eugene08.com or USATF.com. Track trials will be televised on the USA network from 11 p.m.-1 a.m., both today and Friday, and from 5-6 p.m. Saturday and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday on NBC. |
