Addison Kris Cummings
May 30, 2008
    PLYMOUTH  — Addison Kris Cummings, infant daughter of Ryan and Monica (Pontius) Cummings of South Bend, died at birth at 8:32 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2008, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
    Addison is survived by her parents; her maternal grandparents, Allen and Donna Pontius of Plymouth; her paternal grandparents, Steve and Dianna Cummings of Greenfield; her maternal great-grandfather and step great-grandmother, Paul and June Pontius of Florida, her paternal great-grandparents, Harold and Rosa Cummings of Chatham, N.Y. and Jo Ann Abel of Indianapolis. She is also survived by two aunts: Christa Cummings of Greenfield, and Courtney and Brian Eddy of Indianapolis.
    Private family services were held.

Charles E. Elam
June 3, 2008
    KNOX— Charles E. Elam, 81, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008 in Riverview Hospital, Noblesville. 
    Survivors include one daughter, Barbara (Kenneth) Foreman of Tippecanoe; two sons: John of Warsaw and Michael (Wendy) of Grovertown; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joe of Knox, Jack of Indianapolis and Bill of Lamar, Colo.
    A Military Honor Service will be held Friday at 6 p.m. (Central Time) at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel.  Friends may call Friday from 3 to 5:30 p.m.  
    Memorial contributions may be given to the family.

    ROCHESTER — Gertrude Marie Pace, 80, of Rochester, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Life Care Center of Rochester.
    She is survived by daughters: Donna (Alan) Templeton of Akron and Barbara (Tony) Zglenicki of Lucedale, Miss.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.    
    A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 6 at Thrailkill Cemetery, near Swayzee.
    The Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, is in charge of the arrangements.

Marvin ‘Muzz’ Sumpter
June 4, 2008
    BREMEN — Marvin “Muzz” Sumpter, 86, of Bremen, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at his residence.
    He is survived by a son, Tom (Sherry) Sumpter of Morriston, Fla.; a daughter, Janice (Charlie) Spencer of Bremen; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and long-time companion, Edith Rector.
    Services will be held Friday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 5 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Bremen Cemetery. There will be military graveside services at the cemetery.
    Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

    ARGOS — Geraldine N. Timms, 92, of Argos, died at 7:55 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008. Arrangements are pending with the Bonine-Odom Funeral Home in Culver.
