By Sharon Hollar Correspondent The Etna Green Town Council met a week later in February due to blizzard conditions on the previously-scheduled meeting night. Items addressed included: * The amount of $3,813.52. was added to the Rainy Day fund. * The Rural Development (holder of the wastewater plant bond) budget was received. * Residential billings will reflect estimates this month since meters were unable to be read due to the weather conditions. * Weather also interfered with the completion of double-checking property of code violators and proceedings are temporarily put on hold.
* The council agreed to accept the revised employee handbook as written after each employee is given time to look at it. * Clerk-Treasurer will be a substitute bus driver for Triton in the absence of a driver on medical leave. She assured the council that all reports due in the upcoming weeks are all completed and the office will remain open until 4 p.m. each day as usual. * Robin Claassen, utility clerk, was advised to turn over accounts of nearly $1,500 to town attorney Jay Rigdon for letters to be sent prior to contacting a collection agency. * At a recent meeting attended by clerk-treasurer Baker, she advised the council of changes that could be forthcoming in July or earlier on annexation. Councilman Todd Slabaugh was absent from the meeting. The next town council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on March 13 in the town hall meeting room. Residents are welcome to attend.
