Barricades blocking off access to the shopping center on North Michigan Street from the Taco Bell parking lot will stay up-at least for now.
On Wednesday, Taco Bell Manager Marsha Humphrey placed the barriers between Taco Bell property and the adjoining property and parked her truck in front of them. Humphrey said, “I have contacted the city numerous times asking for a stop sign.”

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth High School graduation on Friday night marks the end of the first year for Principal Jim Condon in the Plymouth system.
Condon reflected upon the accomplishments experienced at the high school level this year.
Condon said, “I’m confident that this class will go on to be successful.”
Additionally, he hopes that the graduates will continue to share their success stories with the staff at PHS.
“I hope they realize that this is not the end of their relationship with PHS,” he said. “We look forward to hearing about their accomplishments.”
Condon also shared his gratitude for what he termed the “leadership skills” of this year’s seniors.
He said, “I appreciate their willingness to work with me and the faculty at PHS.”
Referring to the seniors, Condon said, “You have done an excellent job maintaining the outstanding reputation previously established at PHS.”
He wrote the following comments to the graduating seniors: “Tremendous stories of success highlighted our school year. Previously, we celebrated the accomplishments of many student groups most notably, our girls golf team who qualified of the state championship, our boy’s soccer team who participated in semi state, our boys basketball team who qualified for semi state competition, band who sent 35 members to state and solo competition and also placed among the top seven in state winter drumline competition, choir who sent 22 members to state solo and ensemble competition and of course who could forget the girls basketball team wining the state championship this past winter.”
He added, “Most recently, our speech team once again crowned the state 2A champions and our Business Professionals of America Club sent eight students to the National leadership conference in Reno, Nev.”
Condon established a dress code for those seniors who wish to participate in the commencement ceremony. Requirements include dress attire and dress shoes. No tennis shoes, sandals, or flip flops will be allowed.
Commencement will feature the Crimson Connection, Senior Song performed by the senior choir members and performances by the combined bands. Directors are Bryan Ames and Mary Pat Glaub and Accompanist Allison Rader.
The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. in the varsity gymnasium.
