Friday, 18 April 2008
NORTH JUDSON — A Minnesota fugitive managed to hide out in North Judson eight years until she was captured Saturday night.
Michelle M. Langel, 43, of North Judson, was wanted on eight felony counts involving theft related crimes out of Cass County in Minnesota.
Indiana State Police Detective Jen Mc Donald discovered this information while looking into a check fraud case that allegedly involves Langel.
Master Trooper Mark Brletic went to the rural home of Langel with an arrest warrant and subsequently found her hiding under some insulation in a small crawl space under the home.
Langel is also wanted out of Porter County on a civil warrant for contempt. She was transported to Porter County Jail in Valparaiso and was placed on hold for the Minnesota authorities,  who will extradite her. There is no bond.
