    WALKERTON — Ernest G. “Bud” Ricks, 80, of Walkerton, died Sunday, March 30, 2008 in his home after an illness. Ricks was born December 28, 1927 in Francesville, Ind. to Chester and Blanch (Archer) Ricks and lived in the area most of his life.  
    He is survived by his wife, Nancy; five children: Sherry Lynn (Chuck) Eaton of Union Mills, Doug (Nancy) Ricks of Walkerton, Brett Ricks of Union Mills, Tammy J. Ricks of Walkerton and Marlene (Marshall) Sherland of Walkerton; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth (Mary) Ricks of Leiters Ford; a sister, Betty Daugherty of Sebring, Fla.  Visitation will take place Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. (CDT) and Thursday after 9 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
    Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. (CDT) at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. Burial will be in the New Carlisle Cemetery, where military graveside services will be conducted.  Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.

    PLYMOUTH — Margaret L. Peregrine, 92, of Plymouth, died Saturday, March 29 at Miller's Merry Manor, Plymouth. Funeral arrangements are pending with Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth.

    WALKERTON — Sidney Eugene Albertsen, 52, of Walkerton, passed away Friday, March 28, 2008 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.      
    He is survived by one brother, Leslie Albertsen of Walkerton; four sisters:  Anita Green of Elkhart, Amy Thorne of Denver, N.C., Alma Stone of Deridder, L.A. and Angela Albertsen of Clinton, Ind.  
    A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel is handling arrangements.
