Relay For Life of Culver has raised more than $50,000 and is now ranked sixth nationwide in online fundraising, according to the Culver Academies, which will host the April 18 event at its outdoor track at the corner of State Roads 10 and 117.
The American Cancer Society sponsors Relays across the nation, and Culver’s is one of the only Relays organized and held on a high school campus. The minimum goal of Relay for Life is to raise $35,000, a number obviously well surpassed in the case of Culver, which also has 60 teams and over 500 participants signed up so far, according to the Relay website at www.relayforlife.org.
