GROVERTOWN — A Grovertown man faces a variety of charges after a March 23 incident in which he and his wife allegedly pointed handguns at each other. Brian Gadberry, 35, of 10660 E. U.S. 30, was arrested by Starke County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with intimidation, criminal recklessness, public intoxication and carrying a handgun without a license.
Initially, Gadberry called police to report his wife, Rikki, pointed a Glock .40-cal. handgun at him, then left with the gun. While Deputy Ken Pfost was en route to the scene, Gadberry called 911 to report his wife had returned. She then called 911 and said Brian ran from the house with a gun and was hiding in a ditch along U.S. 30. Pfost, assisted by Deputies Don Ferguson and Robert Olejniczak, found Brian lying in the ditch. At first he told them his wife still had the gun, but officer convinced him to toss over another weapon, a .40-cal. Beretta handgun. He was handcuffed and transported to the Starke County Jail. Rikki told officers that Brian pointed the gun at her and threatened to kill her.
