PLYMOUTH — Plymouth Police have arrested two men after questioning them about yelling at a young girl Wednesday. The charges, however, are for public intoxication. Todd C. Hite, 36, and Michael J. Merritt, 32, residents of Berkley Street in Plymouth, told police they “jokingly referred to their dog” when yelling “get her” — scaring a 12-year-old girl in the Klinger and Fairbanks streets area.
Police said the men chased the girl until she was able to run inside her home, where she told her father of the incident. Officers received information of the men’s identities and interviewed them Thursday. Following questioning, the two were lodged in the Marshall County Jail for public intoxication.
