On Friday evening, May 25, the Triton community showed its support for the Class of 2007’s efforts to pursue a postsecondary education by awarding $24,000 to graduating seniors. Eight thousand dollars has also been awarded from the community to Triton alumni who will be continuing their post-secondary education next year. 

The following local scholarships were awarded to seniors at commencement:
Mary Thomas Memorial Scholarship ($500) to Alisha Anthony; Richard and Jan Strait Scholarship ($500) to Lee Bragg; Triton Kiwanis Scholarships ($500 each) to Brenna Hoffer, Brittany Mason and Jason Price; Bourbon Alumni Scholarship ($500, renewable) to Jeanna Sell; Hoosier Scholar Award ($500 each) to Dane Sahlhoff and Jeanna Sell; Velorus and Lois Stouder Scholarships ($500) to Lucas Lindsey; Nicholas Richer Memorial Scholarship ($500) to Emily Sauer; Etna Echo Scholarship ($500 each) to Harlan Yoder and Dawn Ganshorn; Nilas Cretcher Memorial Scholarship ($500 each) to April Kuhn and Matthew Zelt; Charles Wolf Scholarship ($1,000 each) to Abbie Price, Dawn Ganshorn and Michael Robinson; Jill Carpenter Memorial Scholar-ship ($5,000) to Kirk Bates; Audrey Grossman Scholarship ($500) to Autumn Carlson; Sentimental Journeys Scholar-ship ($500) to Nathan Garner; Jack Kochert Memorial Scholar-ship ($500) to Nathan Hooley; Harold Miller Memorial Scholarship ($1,000) to Heather Dunnuck; Triton Athletic Booster Club Scholar Athlete Award ($2,000) to Jeanna Sell; Inez Marshall Memorial Scholarship ($1,000) to  Chelsea Wampler; Glenn “Bud” Clauss Memorial Scholarship ($500) to  Nathan Hooley; Lewis and Neva Mason Scholarships ($500 each) to Trent Furnivall, Devin Shively, Audrey Speicher and Christina Hall and the Triton Educational Foundation Schol-arship ($500 each) to Cole Eiser and Dane Sahlhoff.
