Students may attend summer school, but when? E-mail
Thursday, 06 March 2008
By Carol Anders Staff Writer
PLYMOUTH — There will be summer school classes at the Plymouth Schools this year, but the question of when they will begin is still not confirmed.
Assistant Superintendent Dan Tyree told the school board this week that the following classes will be offered: Jumpstart grades first through fifth for both math and language arts and junior high language arts and math grades six through eight.
Classes for high school level will include algebra, geometry, English, biology, U.S. history, U.S. government, economics and basic skills development.

A number of school days that have been missed due to adverse weather conditions  could alter the schedule for summer programs that were previously planned.
Tyree said the corporation has applications to the state for a waiver for two of the days missed.
If a waiver is granted, it would only pertain to the current school year.
