Grant Jacob Beery was the first baby born at Community Hospital of Bremen in 2008. He is pictured with his parents, Jessica Johnson and Damon Beery, both of Bremen, as well as Hospital CEO/President Scott Graybill and Lorrie Glumb, administrative assistant. Grant weighed 5 pounds and was 17 and three-fourths inches long. He arrived at 10:35 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4. Jacob and his parents received a bounty of baby gifts and gift certificates from Bremen area merchants as well as a gift basket.
