Sept. 20, 1929 — Feb. 6, 2010
PLYMOUTH — Glenice Balsley, age 80, of Plymouth, and formerly of Bourbon, passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center of Plymouth.         She was born the daughter of Brightsel Carothers and Wilma Hepler Carothers Sept. 20, 1929 at Bremen.            Glenice was a graduate of Bremen High School. She had been a restaurant owner in Etna Green, worked at the Tippecanoe Foundry and most recently retired as a Bus Driver for the Triton School Corporation. In her spare time she was very active in the Marshall County 4-H program as a 4-H leader and even participated in Dairy Livestock and Canned Food Products along with her talent in playing the guitar and working with the Cub Scouts.                Glenice was married Aug. 15, 1974 to Leonard Balsley who survives along with her four sons: Terry and wife Barbara Heckaman of Lansing, Mich., Rex and wife Lee Ann Heckaman of Nappanee, Kim and wife Jane Heckaman of Plymouth, Marty and wife Denise Heckaman of Etna Green and her step-son Tony and wife Kim Balsley of Tippecanoe.             
    She was further blessed with 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Eudora Marburger of San Antonio, Texas; and a brother, Garland and wife Muriel Carothers of Bremen.                            She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter Brittney Lamb.                       
    In honoring her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral services.
