Ray N. Carey Nov. 15, 2009 WINAMAC — Ray N. Carey, 77, of Knox, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009. He is survived by his wife Patricia; sons: Mike (Janet) Carey of North Liberty and Chuck (Jennie) Carey of Plymouth; a sister, Phyllis (Bill) Wayne of Calif.; brothers: Jim (Beth) Carey of Fla. and Al (Delores) Carey of Fla.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place Tuesday, Nov. 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. at M.C. Smith Funeral Home, Knox. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Charles “Pete” Griggs Nov. 13, 2009 TYNER — Charles “Pete” Griggs, 59, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 in Elkhart Hospice House at 3:25 p.m. He is survived by his wife Carol; daughters: Casey Lott and Morgan Lott, both of South Bend; seven step-children: Carol Dombkowski and Donna Watts, both of Plymouth, Angelia Coad of Monterey, Deanna Payne of LaPorte, Daniel Payne of West Columbia, Texas, and Russell Payne of Culver; six brothers; five sisters; 23 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place from 12 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tyner Cemetery, Tyner. Timothy “Ted” Singleton Nov. 13, 2009 KNOX-Timothy “Ted” Singleton, 81, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 in his home. He is survived by two sisters: Ruby Snyder and Betty Reese, both of Knox; three brothers: Ray Singleton, Joe Singleton Sr. and Tennis Singleton Jr., all of Knox; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. (Central Time) Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Washington Township Community Building, Knox. A celebration gathering will take place Saturday at the community building at 1 p.m. Cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.

James “J.D.” Watson Nov. 10, 2009 PLYMOUTH — James D. “J.D.” Watson, 57, of Plymouth, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 4:20 a.m. at his home. He is survived by his mother, Jean Watson of Plymouth; his son, Gabriel Watson of Santa Rosa, Calif.; his sisters, Andrea “Andy” and Stan Bunch of Columbus, Ind., Sara Lisa and Dan Doody of Bourbon, Jennifer Sue and Tom Read of Plymouth; his brothers, Bill and Lois Watson of Plymouth, Timothy A. “Homer” and Jeannie Watson of Plymouth, Charles M. and Della Watson of Argos, and Jon G. and Kathy Watson of Rochester; several nieces and nephews and one grandchild. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Van Gilder Funeral Home, Plymouth, was entrusted with arrangements.
