ROUND LAKE, Ill. — Vern R. Baker, 82, of Round Lake, Ill., formerly of Tyner, died Oct. 24, 2009.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis; daughter, Betty (Mario) Arena; son, John (Terry) Baker; four grandchildren; sisters: Ruth Rensberger of Plymouth and Mary Alice Workman of Bluffton and many other friends and relatives.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. at Victory Lakes, 1055 W. Grand Ave., Lindenhurst, Ill.
Donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL, 60707.

EVANS, Ga. — SSG Justin M. DeCrow, 32, of Evans, Georgia, a 13 year Veteran with the United States Army was a victim of the tragic events at Ft. Hood.
