By Carol Anders Correspondent PLYMOUTH — Plymouth High School will once again be honoring military veterans and those serving our country on active duty or in the reserves.
On Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, the public is invited to a ceremony that will be held in the varsity gym beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at approximately 9 a.m. PHS Principal Jim Condon said, “It is an opportunity for our students to honor those who have served our country so that we may enjoy the opportunities we have available.” Veterans Day holds a special place for Condon as his father is a veteran of the Korean War. “I was very proud of our students during last year’s Veterans Day program,” Condon said. “I believe that the students of PHS greatly appreciate the efforts of our veterans. We have several students with brothers, sisters or other family members who serve.” Condon issued this invitation to the public: “Vet-erans in attendance are asked to sit on the main floor where they can be honored and recognized. Community members who wish to attend the program are welcome to do so and encouraged to park in either the north or east parking lot. Guests may enter PHS through door #5 or door #7. Guest seating will be provided in the gymnasium balcony. Lower level seating will be reserved for the PHS student body.”
