Saturday, Sept. 12 was a historic day when, for the first time ever, Nappanee hosted a tractor and truck pull in conjunction with the annual Apple Festival.

Tractors and pickup trucks, both local and from throughout the country, crowded around the track next to the Callendar Sportsplex on C.R. 7 to see who could go the distance and beyond. Pullers included both men and women. The show drew a large crowd form opening time at 6 p.m. until the show ended in the very early hours of the morning. The Apple Festival committee hopes to make the tractor pull an annual event.
