Monday, the Plymouth 8U Travel Baseball team, sponsored by Montgomery Well Drilling, won the Town & Country State Baseball Tournament in Galveston, Ind. The boys beat Northwestern 10-9, after trailing 9-0 in the second inning. “The boys fought their way back to not allow Northwestern to score again,” said mom Terrie Dennie. “They are the comeback kids! It was a great game.”
She added, “The boys had a great surprise when we arrived back in town and the fire department had two trucks they rode through town to the C-League diamond where they had pizza under the lights. What a wonderful experience for these boys!” The 8U team’s record is 16-2, with just a four-week- long season — congratulations!
