Plymouth 8U Travel Baseball team members, celebrating with the state traveling trophy and sign that will be displayed at the C-League diamond in Centennial Park are, left to right: Shaun Frantz, Colin Burkins, Tim Tremaine, Adam Hunter, Clay Hilliard, Thomas Dolan, Larry Dragani, Evan Zeigler, Nick Spier, Carson Grove, Bat Boy Brady Hissong, Cam Dennie, Cole Filson, Brice Carmichael and coaches Tim Filson, Joe McKee, Neil Hunter and Jason Peters.

Monday, the Plymouth 8U Travel Baseball team, sponsored by Montgomery Well Drilling, won the Town & Country State Baseball Tournament in Galveston, Ind.
The boys beat Northwestern 10-9, after trailing 9-0 in the second inning.
“The boys fought their way back to not allow Northwestern to score again,” said mom Terrie Dennie. “They are the comeback kids! It was a great game.”

She added, “The boys had a great surprise when we arrived back in town and the fire department had two trucks they rode through town to the C-League diamond where they had pizza under the lights. What a wonderful experience for these boys!”
     The 8U team’s record is 16-2, with just a four-week- long season — congratulations!
