Edna M. Taber Feb. 21, 1920 - July 20, 2009 CULVER — Edna M Taber, 89, of Culver passed away at 6:04 p. m. July 20, 2009 at home. Edna was born on Feb 21, 1920 in Rich Grove Township in Pulaski County, Ind. to August and Johanna (Hoeckelberg) Tetzloff. She was married on July 11, 1945 in North Judson to William W. Taber. He preceded her in death in 1991. Edna was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Culver. She gave 32 years of service to the Culver-Union Township Public Library. She loved working crossword puzzles and feeding the birds. She also loved cats. Edna is survived by her sons: Robert E Taber of Plymouth and James (Cynthia) and William L. Taber of Indianapolis; and two grandchildren: Matthew (Casey) Taber and Jaime Taber, both of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and one sister. A time of sharing with the family will be held Friday, July 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church, Culver. Rev. Larry Saunders will officiate services at 1 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be given to Wesley United Methodist Church or to REAL Services in Culver. Grossman Jan. 23, 1923 — July 21, 2009 PLYMOUTH — Mary M. Grossman, 86, passed away 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at her son's residence in Kokomo. She was born Jan. 23, 1923, in Bourbon, the daughter of the late Harvey E. and Ethel Irene (Markley) Yarian. She married Therald W. Grossman at the Bourbon Parsonage on April 8, 1948. He preceded her in death on May 26, 1996, after 48 years of marriage. She graduated from Bourbon High School in 1941. Mary retired in January 1988, as the Financial Secretary from Plymouth Community Schools. She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star. One of her greatest enjoyments was volunteering. First United Methodist Church, St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, and St. Joseph Health Center were the fortunate recipients of her time beginning in 1997. She received the 2006 Volunteer of the Year by the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce, was recognized for the most volunteer hours, and in 2008, received an award at the Joey Awards by the Hospital Auxiliary. When she wasn’t volunteering she could be found in the kitchen canning her many fruits and vegetables or fixing a batch of her famous fried chicken, cookies, or one of her many pies. Surviving are her two children, James and wife Janice Grossman, Kokomo; Susan and husband Lawrence Duell, Lafayette; five grandchildren, Sara and husband Kerry Maggard, Anderson; Travis and wife Beth Duell, West Lafayette; Kristen and husband Chad McDaniel, Frankton; Jenny Duell, Lafayette; Jamie Grossman and fiancé Jason Taylor, Fishers; four great granddaughters, Lauren Maggard, Whitney Duell, Emery Maggard, Mallory Duell; sister, Fern and husband Roger Nifong, Bremen; sister-in-law LaVanch Yarian, Bremen; and 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Willo Motz and Ruth Yarian, and a brother, Earl Yarian. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at First United Methodist Church, 400 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, IN 46563. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Doctor Dean Fager will be officiating. Burial will follow at New Oakhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to First United Methodist Church or to VNS Hospice, 2800 South Reed Road #2, Kokomo, IN 46902. Cynthia Sullivan Feb. 21, 1952 – July 20, 2009 PLYMOUTH – Cynthia Sullivan, 57, of Hawthorn Road, Plymouth died on Monday July 20, 2009 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend at 10:50 p.m. She was born Feb. 21, 1952 in Plymouth to Wayne and MaeJune Mitchell Sullivan Sr. She attended Plymouth Schools. Cynthia was a homemaker and enjoyed steam engine shows, gardening and her flowers. She loved watching nature and spending time with her family. She is survived by her fiancé, Charles W. Hartle, of Plymouth; two daughters and their children, Robyn (Jerry) Wheat, with children Ashleah, Amber, and Allyson Wheat all of Plymouth; and Dawn (Mark) Becker, with children Andrea and her son Aaron, LeAnn, Devon and Brandon Becker all of Walkerton Four sisters and eight brothers survive as well they are Kimberlee (Don) Greer, Culver; Stephanie (David) Roahrig, Candi (Bradford) Long both of Plymouth; Michelle (Kris) Tuttle, Syracuse; Gary (Ginny) Sullivan, Arizona; Kevin (Deb) Sullivan, Florida; Wayne (Viola) Sullivan, William (Sue) Sullivan, Mitchell (Kimm) Sullivan, Brian Sullivan, Todd (Geri Jo) Sullivan, and Jamie (Audra) Sullivan all of Plymouth. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles. A time of sharing with Cynthia’s family will be held on Friday July 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. A funeral service officiated by Ed Friberg will be held on Saturday July 25, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth. Memorial contribution in honor of Cynthia may be sent to Riley Children’s Hospital or St. Jude’s.
