Crimi shared time with students at the school before a private book signing and “meet and greet” with winners in the conference’s annual student writing contest, and gave an address to parents and students in the school’s recently-renovated gymnasium.

Pick-up totals cop car E-mail
Monday, 29 June 2009

PLYMOUTH — A county squad car was totaled Friday night in a crash at the intersection of South Michigan and Dickson Streets.  Traffic was stopped in both directions as police officers began an investigation into the crash.

Plymouth Officer John Weir investigated the two vehicle crash on South Michigan Street.

A Marshall County police car being driven by Officer Joe Giordana was traveling south on Michigan Street running red lights and sirens to an incident. The crash occured when a pick-up truck driven by 27-year-old Michael Adams of Plymouth pulled out from Dickson Street and slammed into the county police cruiser. The impact caused the pick-up truck to go airborn, spin around and slam into the back of the squad car causing the back window to shatter.

Adams was transported to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth and County Police Officer Joe Giordana was not injured.
