Charles Raymond Bradley May 1, 1938 — June 13, 2009 ARGOS — Charles Raymond Bradley, 71, of 18th Road, Argos, Ind. died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 9:52 a.m. at Life Care Center of Rochester, following a short illness. He was born May 1, 1938 in Columbus, Ind. to John R. and Elva Mae (Foreman) Bradley and moved to the Argos community in 1988 coming from Decatur County. He married Diann Lee Hulsman March 7, 1970 in Shelbyville, Ind. and worked for Purdue University for 24 years as a Youth Educator for 4-H. Working in Decatur County for 13 years and Marshall County for 10 years, he retired from the Marshall County Cooperative Extension office in 1998 as the County Extension Agent. He had also been a substitute teacher at Argos High School. Bradley was a graduate of Columbus High School with the class of 1956. He attended Indiana University where he earned his bachelors degree and the University of Louisville earning a master degree. He is a member of Saint Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church. Culver, Ind.; Knights of Columbus; Saint Mary’s Chapter, Culver, Ind.; Kiwanis-Plymouth Noon Club; Friends of the Argos Library, Argos, Ind.; Wythougan Historical Preservation and Master Gardeners, both of Marshall County; Hoosier Recreation Workshop of Camby, Ind.; I.A.R.L.W. – International Workshop; Epsilon Sigma Phi – National Honorary Extension Fraternity. He was formerly very active with Indiana Rural Youth Organization. He is survived by his wife, Diann L. Bradley of Argos; a daughter, Ann Bradley of Argos; __ sons, John Robert Bradley and wife Dawn of Argos, Ind., James Thomas Bradley and wife Melissa of Argos, Ind. and Joseph Scott Bradley and wife Jeannie of Lake Butler, Fla.; six grandchildren: Chelsea, Sabrina, Jessica, Kaylee, Kyle, Wyatt; a brother, Robert Eugene Bradley and his wife Catherine of New Palestine, Wyo.; a sister, Iva Marie Koffman and husband George of Indianapolis, Ind.; and mother-in-law, Mary Louise Hulsman of Shelbyville, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Boyal and brother, James Bradley. Friends may visit with the family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at the Argos High School Auditorium, 500 Yearick Ave., Argos, Ind. and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 4218 E. Michigan Rd., Shelbyville, IN, 46176. A Rosary Service will be at 12:30 p.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. Funeral Services for Charles Raymond Bradley will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday June 17, 2009 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Shelbyville, Ind. with Rev. Father Glen Kohorman officiating. Burial will take place at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Cemetery, Shelbyville, Ind. Delbert J. Carlisle January 14, 1922 — May 9, 2009 LITHIA SPRINGS, GA. — Mr. Delbert James Carlisle, age 87, of Lithia Springs, Georgia, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2209, at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. Delbert was born January 14, 1922, in Plymouth, the son of the late Mr. Charles Albert Carlisle and the late Mrs. Essie Catherine Blanchard Carlisle. He married Wilma Jean Wright May 9, 1948, in Plymouth. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Carpenter’s Union. He was also a State Farm Agent. Delbert was an avid reader and loved music. He often enjoyed sharing his musical talent with other by singing in a quartet. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lithia Springs, Ga. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mrs. Wilma Jean Wright Carlisle of Lithia Springs, Ga.; a daughter, Judy and James McLeroy of Tyrone, Ga.; two sons, Lane and Kathleen Carlisle of Conyers, Ga.; and Wane and Melanie Carlisle of Lithia Springs, Ga.; a daughter-in-law Susan Welden Carlisle of Kennesaw, Ga.; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews survive as well. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dr. Ronald Lynn Carlisle; a sister, Ruby M. Marsh; and a brother, Darrell B. Carlisle. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009, in the New Oakhill Cemetery Chapel, Plymouth, where friends and family may call after 10 a.m. Delbert’s nephew, Rev. Tom Lee, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the First United Methodist Church of Lithia Springs, P.O. Box 627, Lithia Springs, GA 30122 or to the donor’s choice.
Mary Elizabeth Abair Aug 14, 1957 – June 12, 2009 PLYMOUTH — Mary Elizabeth Abair “Bydalek”, age 51 of Plymouth, passed away Friday, June 12 at Miller’s Merry Manor. Mary went to fly among the angels in heaven after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her mother Elizabeth Bydalek of Sand Lake Mich.; brother, Mark Bydalek (Sarah) of Grand Rapids, Mich.; five children and four grandchildren: daughter, Jessica (Fred) Misner and grandchildren Brendan and Elizabeth of Sand Lake, Mich., daughter Rachell (Nate) Davis and granddaughter Lucy; Sarah Abair and granddaughters Lily and Melissa Abair and son, Nicholas Abair of Plymouth. Mary was preceded in death by her father Raymond Bydalek of Sand Lake, Mich. and sister Linda Provo (Jim) of Escanaba, Mich. Mary has selflessly donated her body to Indiana University in hopes of helping others with this illness. A memorial church service will be held at St Michael’s Catholic Church, in Plymouth, Tuesday, June 16 at 11:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to “Look Good - Feel Good” 707 E.
