Margaret O. Bair Aug. 22, 1917 - June 7, 2009 ROCHESTER — Margaret O. Bair, 91, of Rochester, passed away at 7:35 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2009 in her home, where she had resided the past two months. She was formerly of 107 E. Mary Mac Dr. Warsaw. Margaret was born in Fort Wayne on Aug. 22, 1917, the daughter of the late Hugh and Elizabeth Mouser Murphy. She became the wife of James R. Bair on June 14, 1941 in Seymour. As an educator, Margaret was keenly interested in children and the process of education. She pursued her teaching degree at the Ball State Teacher's College and in 1939 graduated. Miss Margaret embarked on her teaching career with Ft. Wayne Community Schools, teaching young learners with special needs. Later she accepted an assignment the Warsaw Community Schools that spanned more than 2 1/2 decades. Margaret focused on and enjoyed the aspects of early childhood education, teaching her 1st grade students for 25 years then retiring. Margaret's memberships include Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Indiana Retired Teacher's Association and the CLIO Literacy Society. To relax she enjoyed reading a good book. Margaret is survived by her husband, James , at home; two sons: Tom (Sue) Bair of Rochester and Steven R. Bair of Cumming, Ga.; four grandchildren: Chris Bair and fiancee Kerri Skowron of Orlando, Fla., Matt Bair of Rochester, Jill (Steve) Longfellow of Estero, Fla. and Tessa Bair of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Marie Kiess; and a brother, Dr. Kenneth Murphy. A celebration of the life of Margaret Bair will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2009 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St. Rochester, with Junior Bose officiating. Bill R. Montague March 17, 1927 - June 5, 2009 FORT MYERS, Fla. — Bill R. Montague, 82 of Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of the Bourbon area, passed away Friday, June 5 in his home unexpectedly. Bill was born in Bourbon on March 17, 1927 to Herman Montague and Orpha Faulkner Montague. Bill was a retired truck driver for many years driving for Everly Trucking, Gochenour Trucking and Ecker trucking all of Bourbon. He was a member of the Judah Christian Church. He married on July 6, 1948 to Rosemary McGriff who passed away on April 24, 1992. He then married Irene Waltz who survives along with his four children: Debra and husband Bill Sipple of Fort Myers, Fla., Roseann (Ann) and husband Dick Tracy of North Manchester, Jim and wife Audrey Montague of Warsaw and Bill Jr. Montague of Arkansas. He also has eight grandchildren, two-step grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and his sister Silvia Holloway of Bourbon. Bill has three step-sons: Adrian (Pete) Conover, David and wife Penny Conover and Mark Conover, Sr. along with several step-grand and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Tammy Jo in 1963 and his brothers. A celebration of Bill’s life will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 12 in the United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Mark Cottrill officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, in the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home and for one hour before services in the church on Friday.
