Pilot photo/Maggie Nixon; Information/WTCA Jeff King, Bob McIntire and William Carlin of Ross Masonry began work on the next phase of the downtown brick restoration project on Michigan Street in Plymouth. The project includes the complete removal of the brick flower areas on the west side of the street and the replacement with new pavers.
Monday, Mayor Mark Senter, City Engineer Rick Gaul, Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt and Project Manager Brent Martin gathered downtown to look at a substantial crack that was discovered when the bricks were removed. The recommendation was to clean the crack and have it sealed prior to installation of the new pavers. By contract Ross Masonry has 60 days to complete the project.
