PLYMOUTH — Shoppers have three days this week to “Discover Plymouth” and qualify to win prizes — including a grand prize of a three-day, two-night getaway vacation with a $100 gas card. Organized by the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce, the “Discover Plymouth” promotion is the first in its “Shop Plymouth First” campaign.
A special “Discover Plymouth” flyer will be inserted in Tuesday’s and Thursday’s Pilot News, weekly newspapers in Marshall and Starke counties this Thursday, and will be available at participating businesses. The special flyer is the key element to the promotion because shoppers will use it as a guide to the 28 participating businesses. During the three-day period — this Thursday, June 4 through Saturday, June 6 — shoppers must visit at least 15 of the 28 participating businesses and have each business validate the back of the flyer. The validated flyer must be returned to a participating business by 5 p.m., Monday, June 8, or the chamber office, 120 N. Michigan St., in downtown Plymouth. The “Discover Plymouth” promotion is open to anyone 18 years old or older. Drawing for the top three prizes will be from all eligible entries. The grand prize, provided by Fernbaugh’s Diamonds & Fine Jewelry in downtown Plymouth, is a three-day, two-night getaway vacation to any one of dozens of Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott throughout the United States and Canada. In addition, the grand prize winner will receive a $100 gas card. Second prize is a Char-Broil Tradition Gas Grill, compliments of Lowe’s in Plymouth. Third prize is $50 in Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce “Chamber Bucks.” Chamber officials and participating businesses encourage shoppers to secure their flyer and “Discover Plymouth” this Thursday through Saturday. “Discover Plymouth” participating businesses are: Jimmy John’s, Swan Lake Golf Resort’s Indiana National Golf Course’s Pro Shop, Christos’ Family Dining, Fernbaugh’s Diamonds & Fine Jewelry, Opie’s Deli, Centier Banks, Beef O’ Brady’s, The Book Worm, Plymouth Country Club Pro Shop, Kabelin’s Ace Hardware, King’s Jewelry, Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream & Treatery, the Marshall County Historical Society and Museum, The Memory Zone Scrapbook Store, Felke Florist, Plymouth Party Pack, Dorothy’s Hallmark Store, Scooter Warehouse, Ponderosa Steakhouse, Lowe’s, Quick’s Lanes, The Brass Rail, ServPro, The Remembrance Center, Yoder’s Sports Center, The UPS Store, Dairy Queen and Miller’s Senior Community.
