Saturday’s Memory Zone customers Karen (from left) and John Hoover of Spartanburg, N.C., formerly of Culver, discussed the care of their free Douglas fir seedling with John Hensler of Hensler Nursery Inc., Hamlet, and Rhonda Hurford, co-owner of the Memory Zone.
The free seedlings are part of a “green” promotion of both Hensler’s and Memory Zone in conjunction with Earth Day and Arbor Day. “One of the things we like to do at Hensler’s is to make memories. When you plant a tree like this, you learn about the good its does … What better place than Memory Zone to capture those moments?” Hurford said the promotion will continue through April 25.
