UW announces Money Smart Week presentations

PLYMOUTH — Money Smart Week is a series of free presentations on financial literacy and money management organized by the United Way of Marshall County.
More than 40 presentations will be offered during the week of Oct. 16 through 23, on a wide variety of topics ranging from basic money management and retirement planning to identity theft and Social Security benefits.
A complete list of the presentations is available on the United Way website at www.marshallcountyuw.org. The public is encouraged to take advantage of this once a year opportunity and attend as many sessions as possible.
Money Smart Week is funded by four major sponsors: The Indiana Associ-ation of United Ways, 1st Source Foundation, United Way of Marshall County, and the Marshall County Community Foundation. Monday, Oct. 18
9-10 a.m. “Strong Women, Powerful Financial Strate-gies”
Presenter: Rodney Jacobs, Ameriprise Financial
Focuses on single women/ single income finances, Q&A sessions

10-11 a.m. “Retirement Has Changed. What’s Your Next Move?”
Presenter: Craig Wilson, Edward Jones
Learn how to take inventory of current assets and determine how much money you may need during retirement.

12-1 p.m. “How Credit Affects Insurance Prem-iums”
Presenter: Chris Morrow, Morrow Insurance
What you can do to improve your credit and insurance scores and reduce your insurance premiums.

6-7 p.m. “Plan For the Future. How an Estate Plan Helps Put You in Control”
Presenter: Bill Davis, Ameriprise Financial
Learn to care for the people you love, even after you’re gone, manage estate tax burden for you and your heirs. (limited seating)

Tuesday, Oct. 19,
9-10 a.m. “Medicare 101”
